About the Job:
We are looking for a highly creative and rigorous biomedical scientist with R&D team leadership experience to direct a key area of scientific innovation within our company.
A successful candidate would have the possibility of joining the senior leadership team and taking part in major scientific decisions.
Job Type: Full-Time
Qualifications:
PhD in Biology, or a related field.
8 years of post-Ph.D. R&D experience discovering and developing novel biologics (from infectious disease to oncology).
Team leadership experience driving a critical area of innovation for a company, government or academic lab.
Additional specific expertise in at least 2 of the following::
RNA medicines or cell & gene therapy (e.g., RNA, lipid nanoparticles, viral vectors, cell therapy)
Cell Biology (e.g., design of novel cell-based screens & platforms)
Synthetic Biology (e.g., synthetic gene circuits, gene-editing technologies)
Virology (e.g., influenza, coronaviruses, RSV, herpesviruses)
Cancer Biology (e.g., immunotherapy, solid tumor biology ...).
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with immunotherapy or RNA biology experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Team leadership experience in biotech or academia.
The position will allow you to gain a birds-eye view of corporate strategy in a rapidly growing startup, including the opportunity to present to senior leadership and major stakeholders worldwide. You can also learn cutting-edge robotics and machine learning, which we use to test our antiviral candidates.
